Flight training seemed like it would be an overwhelming experience. Much worse than finding targeted web traffic. When I first reported to the training center at NAS Pensacola, me and my classmates were handed tons of books, lists of requirements, checklists to memorize (word for word memorize), and a seemingly short time span to absorb it all!
There would be tests every week in every subject. Sometimes tests everyday. The classes covered everything you can imagine about flying, and then some. We even had to learn the basics about weather reporting. I never imagined that.
I felt like a ton of weights had been thrown at me, and hit me square in the head! Having only finished college a short, short time ago, it was all starting over again — only this time even more intense!
Just the idea of taking on searc
h engine optimization (SEO) as part of your targeted web traffic play book probably made you feel much the same way. I know it made me feel that way. Like most, you entered the world of online marketing and business without any real knowledge of what it takes to “get noticed” on the web.
So, like the Navy was for me, so this will be for you. The Navy certainly didn’t want us to fail (though they knew many would). The trick to maximize success and minimize failure was breaking things down into very simple pieces.
SEO (search engine optimization) as a targeted web traffic strategy is no different. You really only need to know the basics to get it working for you.
So let’s gets organized. Like in everything, a simple plan will pay off in the end. This is the recommended learning progression that not only has you rapidly absorbing the basics, but — at the same time — you put knowledge into action!
- Knowing the basic terms
- How to get the best keywords
- Finding your niche with the best keywords
- Analyzing (ugh!) things like keyword density
- Following a simple matrix (your flight check list – but you don’t have to memorize it!)
- Learn some very, very basic HTML (ahh, I hate that word!)
- Creating those META things
- Then a few more, slightly advanced things.
Now you have a roadmap. Not very difficult at all.
Next time, I will show you how to start putting your road map into action. And the best thing about it — once you complete your SEO (search engine optimization) plan, you will easily be able to get targeted web traffic for any niche you choose without spending a dime for it.
The sooner you get started the sooner you will have a lifetime of free targeted web traffic from the search engines.
