• XML sitemaps.  These help search engines know when your pages change.  Setting priorities in the sitemap does not give your page priority over other pages on the web.  Doesn’t happen.  It only prioritizes pages on YOUR website.

The bottom line is, links from other pages is far more important than anything you do for getting your site indexed and creating targeted traffic and profits from search engine traffic.  Here’s another myth about search engines…

Do not use paid inclusion in Yahoo.  It doesn’t improve your ranking and doesn’t get pages on your website indexed faster.  Relevant, valuable content is far more important in your search engine ranking.
