Targeted Traffic SEO is DEAD

Whoa!  What am I talking about?

I just finished telling  you all about a number of SEO related things to help you improve your targeted traffic and search engine traffic results.  Now I say SEO is dead?

Can it be that serious?

Well, maybe and maybe not.  If your overarching efforts when you create a new website or new webpage is SEO, then you may be wasting your time with targeted traffic.  Yes, you do need lots of targeted traffic, and the more you get, the more people you have to market your goods to…

… but that’s just it.  Are you seeing the correlation yet?

Let’s take a look at where SEO should stand in the big picture of your business website, and your efforts to increase online traffic.

What is the main purpose of your website?

I hope your answer is not to be the best friend of the search engine spiders.  If it is, then I bet you aren’t getting many sales.  In fact, I bet your just wasting your time.

Your business website has one superior purpose that out-trumps every other thing or reason a website might exist.  It is there to generate profits.  So, to generate profits, you must be able to convert targeted traffic to sales.  Am I right?

So, the number 1 focus of your website is conversions!

Even SEO has a back seat to conversions.  If you focus your web design on search engines before people, I bet the search engines will never buy anything from you.  And because people don’t act like search engines, they won’t buy from you either.

I can bring you droves of targeted traffic.  However, if your website is not seeking ways to convert that traffic to sales as its primary mission, then you can get more targeted traffic than anyone else on the web, and be the most broke online business in existence.

The one thing you must always remember is, SEO is important, but you must make your website human friendly first.  Believe it or not, you can easily fix any significant SEO errors after you made your website the friend of your living visitors.

Focus on the humans first and the message to achieve conversions.  SEO isn’t dead, but it is second fiddle to the human aspects of your business.

See you soon
