I have to admit, I thought the day would never come that I would spend a moment reviewing a bulk traffic provider.  If you read my blog, you know I spend lots of time steering you away from them.

So you probably are already wondering… “So why now, Wayne?”

The answer is simple…

I was contacted by one of the company reps or owners and asked if I would try it.  Eventually, I agreed.  Though I was very hesitant to do so.  Like many experienced traffic getters, giving providers like EasyTraffic.biz a chance, is something we don’t waste our time doing.

The Scenario

I received an email from my blog TrafficStarterPro Blog via the contact page.  When I got it, I thought it was just spam.  …but I was curious.  So I replied.

Here are the initial emails:

So, we started on a very rough playing field (sorry for the blurriness, I’m not trying to hide stuff, I’m just not a good image maker  )  Starting with a bribe doesn’t work so well with us retired military types.

But to my surprise, I got a real response.  So I engaged Tom in what can be done to verify the traffic.  I’m not going to bore you with all the emails, I just wanted to show you my gut rejection of these type of traffic providers.

In the end, I agreed to the test, and to do a review if I thought the traffic was of value.  EasyTraffic.biz did not pay me to do anything.  There was no exchange of money.  I received a small amount of traffic, and EasyTraffic.biz understood that there was no guarantee of whether I would have a good review or a bad one.

Here’s What We Did

Tom of EasyTraffic.biz agreed to send me some traffic to the website of my choice.  He told me he would send 500 Global, 500 Targeted, and 500 Category type traffic (I go through these types later).

So I made a special copy of my TrafficStarterPro.com sales page that would be brand new, and only receive the traffic sent from EasyTraffic.biz.  I also put a unique pop up on the page to see what the conversion rate was compared to the pages running on Clickbank and my iDevAffiliate program.

I already had established conversion rates for these pages, so I just sent the exact same thing to the EasyTraffic.biz traffic.

Targeted Traffic Test Results

Though this isn’t scientific, it is good enough to know what I needed to know, and that was:

1. Is the traffic real?
2. Does it convert?

The traffic began coming on January 6th, 2010, and completed on January 7th, 2010.  I didn’t receive 1500 visitors.  Not because they were fake, but because, I guess he forgot to program some of the traffic.

The Good News… Tom’s own stats on the customer tracking pages showed he sent me 826 unique visitors.  The AWSTATS straight off my server showed he sent 836 unique visitors.

I can honestly say I was very surprised.  Not only did the visitors actually show as visitors (not hits), my stats off the server showed higher than Tom’s report — this has never happened for me from any bulk provider!

The referring links off my server showed they came from a combination of redirects from EasyTraffic.biz, and traffic exchanges.  There were 6 visits through a proxy server.  53 visits came as a result of pop up displays from their own web directory.

Did it Convert?

As I told Tom, I didn’t expect to make sales from this type of traffic, but I should be able to get opt ins.

And I did get opt-ins.  Only 1/3 of my normal rate, but I did get opt ins.

Don’t rush to judgement here.  My page wasn’t really optimized for this type of traffic.  So the conversion part of the experiment wasn’t really that fair.  So the fact that I got any opt ins at all… was really extremely good news!

Could it Be Better — for Conversions?

I believe the answer is yes, and I’m going to run a page at an undisclosed time, that is optimized for the type presentation used at EasyTraffic.biz.

But this would not be traffic to try to generate direct sales.  If you did this, you will likely be disappointed.

It is something to use to add to targeted traffic strategies I teach in TrafficStarterPro.  Though, the fact is, TrafficStarterPro traffic is much more targeted because you have more direct control of where the traffic comes from.

Here is what I think is a good web page for this traffic:

• It should be sized no larger than 850 px wide and 600 px high.
• It should have a strong headline, with a compelling reason to opt in, not necessarily offering a specific product, just a specific solution.
• It should have an opt in box
• It should not have massive images.  One small image at most.
• It should be aligned with the text on the left side, and the opt in box on the right side.

This type of alignment is what I believe will work best after viewing how the traffic is viewed.

I would only use the “Category” traffic if I were you, unless you have some compelling reason related to your product, or offer to do something else.

There are 26 categories:

I can’t see a situation where I would want to use the other type of traffic, since it is not targeted traffic.

The Global traffic is the cheapest, and for good reason, you aren’t likely to get anything from that other than a random visit from “who knows where” which would never opt in to your offer.

Here’s My Bottom Line

The traffic from EasyTraffic.biz is real traffic.  It can even be targeted.

It is not of the same high quality you can generate with good SEO and solid tactics like I teach.

It is something you CAN use to add to your bottom line.  I don’t believe you could ever achieve the same opt in rate with this traffic that  you achieve with targeted traffic you generate yourself.  So I recommend you use this as a supplement to boost your numbers.

Using the targeted category, you can increase your opt ins, and increase your traffic stats.  So the traffic does have real value at EasyTraffic.biz.

I won’t tell you an opt in rate because the opt in rate you achieve is totally dependent on the quality of your opt-in page (or squeeze page, or landing page — which ever you like to call it), and therefore, only the relative numbers matter.

I used a really terrible opt in page.  In fact, it was a sales page with a exit pop for opt ins. The copy wasn’t terrible, but the size and format was, and I still got opt ins from this traffic.

P.S. I still recommend TrafficStarterPro first because it is better traffic (not because it is my program).  EasyTraffic.biz is something that you can use to add to the bottom line when you have established a landing page you know works, and you can then optimize it in size and display for EasyTraffic.biz to add to your bottom line.
