SEO Scams Steal Money Give No Targeted Traffic

Biggest SEO Money Stealing Scams

You know that since I got started, I had never intended to be so caught up in internet traffic and targeted traffic generation.  However, after getting taken by so many lame traffic schemes, I became obsessed with making sure you didn’t do the same thing.

I’ve probably told you about this before, but it’s worth repeating again.

Why? Because there are just too many people trying to change their lives, and having invisible brick walls put in front of them.

I had to figure out on my own where the targeted traffic scams were, and it cost me a whole lot of money I simply didn’t have.  I nearly bailed out at least 3 times.

So here are the biggest and easiest SEO scams to avoid…

I’ll Fix Your Meta Tags…

If you see anyone telling you they are going to get you top search engine ranking with tons of free targeted traffic by fixing your Meta Tags, do this…

Leave the site immediately, they are clueless or playing you for a sucker.

If you read my earlier article ” What to Keep and Not Keep for Your Targeted Traffic” , I covered a little bit about the subject of meta tags.  I hope you understood it as it was intended.  This article is not telling you to take this action in order to get top rankings.

It is about preserving what you have, and you can easily do this fix over time.

Your meta titles and descriptions will serve you best if you format them correctly, and using them as sort of a free classified ad.  This will get you to your bottom line… conversions which equal profits!

For $19.95 a Month We’ll Submit Your Site to Thousands of Search Engines…

I seriously believe people telling you this ought to shut down!  The last time this got anyone any traffic was a decade ago.  Are you living in the past?

There is no reason to do this.  Why?  Here’s 3 great reasons…

  1. Google and others have openly said it doesn’t matter
  2. There are only 3 search engines of any real value – Google, Bing, and Yahoo
  3. Most directories are treated as spam listings.  They have no value to search engines.

Other great lies include things like telling you

  • Search engines can’t  follow image links – of course they can, how do you think Google makes its image library?
  • Alt tags are very important – in 1997 they were.
  • You must have a XML sitemap.  Though it can be useful and aid the search engines, it isn’t something that gets your site ranked.

So if you are using a so-called “SEO service” that is telling you any of this crap, then fire them now, before you spend another dime.

Jill Whalen, CEO and founder of High Rankings, has published more great details on what to look out for when getting your SEO assistance and building a targeted traffic plan.  Check her article “Is Most of SEO Just a Boondoggle” and get it straight from the experts mouth (or pen).

I highly recommend you follow her blog as well.  This is a top resource for reality in the world of SEO and targeted traffic.  There is no B.S. here.

SEO is hard, I know. I am having a problem, hoping someone here could answer it. You see, I tried ‘on page seo’ on my blog, as well as getting backlinks. But I am still not getting any visible results! Do you have any other advice for backlinking? I tried what I could understand already. Thanks again!!

SEO is easy. Simply creating backlinks and doing ‘on page SEO’ doesn’t make you a winner in the search engines.

You have to have good content, relevant content using legitimate, focused keywords. Without this, you can make all the backlinks you want, and you won’t be in the top results for search engines.
