a.k.a — How to Make a Facebook Squeeze Page
Maybe you’ve seen some Facebook fan pages with the opt in page right there on the fan page.
I did, and I had to figure out how to do this.
I’m far from an expert at marketing from my Facebook fan page, but I’m making progress one step at a time. Each time I pick up something new, it’s something I can share with you…
The bottom line is, that Facebook can be a great source of highly targeted traffic if you take the time to learn the ins and and outs. I have only begun… but I will conquer! How ’bout you?
I was listening to a replay of an exclusive Facebook traffic teleseminar hosted by Chuck Mullaney. He was interviewing a Facebook ninja — Robert Grant. As I was listening in, and picking up pointers, I was looking at Robert Grants Facebook fan page at Crowd Conversion (you should check it out), and I decided right there that I was going to get a Facebook landing page before the end of the day.
So, I did, and here is how you do it (oh yeah, you can see the one I made by clicking the Facebook Fan Box above)…
This isn’t something you’ll have done in the next 5 minutes. However, it is something you need to have done if you want to capture your share of the millions of social users on Facebook.
Start Your Facebook Landing Page
First and foremost, in order to do this you have to set up your Facebook Fan page. I showed you where to do this in a previous post “Facebook Traffic Frenzy Explodes.” Check it out if you haven’t made your fan page yet. What are you waiting for anyhow?
Install the Static FBML App
Next you simply install the FBML Application.
This is the easy part, and I’m not going to detail it here because, it’s already been done by Matt Silverman over at the American Express Idea Hub. Just go there and follow Matt’s instructions step-by-step.
Silverman has posted a very accurate and complete instruction for getting your Facebook squeeze page up and running.
Tips for Making this Smooth
- First take a look at my Facebook landing page (you need to be signed into Facebook).
- Second, take a look at Robert Grant’s Facebook squeeze page.
- Third, open your favorite HTML wysiwyg editor and create your html landing page before starting the tutorial by Matt Silverman.
- Fourth, don’t exceed about 760 px in width for your page. I tried a wider setting and it wouldn’t display. 760 px or less works just great
Have fun, and if your serious about Facebook traffic, get your Facebook Landing page up today.
