Welcome to Step 4 of finding a niche. This one is extremely important! If you don’t do this, you won’t succeed for a very long time!
Now listen closely to what I say here…
You must find a proven business success model! If you don’t, you will most likely, almost guarantee your failure. Without a proven success model (regardless of your chosen niche), you will likely fail because:
You run out of money
You run out of time
You feel exhausted because nothing works
You feel completely overwhelmed from the lack of advancement
You feel pressure from your friends and family
You don’t have the perseverance it takes to create a system (business model) from scratch
You have no time with your family
You can’t take a vacation, because you can’t get your online business to work
You can’t get barely a dribble of targeted web traffic
You are so frustrated, you lock yourself in your room and won’t come out
There you have it – ten reasons why you must have a proven business model to get your business up and running. The good news is, that there are many proven models to use and you just have to pick one of them. Of course, this can be frustrating, albeit not as frustrating as trying to run a business without a model.
So what are you going to do? There are a number of models to use. Many use the MLM or multi-level marketing model. It is also inappropriately named the network marketing method. I say it is inappropriate because you need to market to networks no matter what kind of business you are in.
Another method is affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing can be broken down to information products and retail products (you know, stereos, supplements, cars, furniture, etc.). By far and away, affiliate marketing is the easiest to get started in because it offers profits much faster, and cost much less to get started than any legitimate MLM business model.
I have done both, and I know for a fact that starting in MLM on a low budget is not a great idea. It will make your budget even lower! I am not saying it is not a valid business. In fact, if you have the money to invest, and really want to work hard at networking, then a proven MLM company can make you extraordinary profits.
However, dime for dime, based on upfront costs, and the quality of training available, plus the number of various models to follow, I strongly recommend you start with affiliate marketing in your niche of choice. If you have your own information product already, then pick a listbuilding model, and start to work building your list and then your affiliated to sell your product.
With the proven affiliate marketing models, you will feel the joy of real profits much sooner. You’ll quickly relieve yourself of the stress of getting your business started. Your first vacation to relax may only be months away instead of years. Your family will love the amount of time you now have to spend with them a whole lot sooner.
So it is up to you to choose, but get a proven business model!
