Choosing Your First Carrier Aircraft, Like Choosing Targeted Web Traffic

One of the biggest days in the life of a young, Naval aviator is when he or she is told what aircraft type they will be flying.

The student of Naval flight is allowed to submit their top choices, and then hopes that one of them will actually be the aircraft they really wanted.  Often the choice is just emotional – the young stud aviator wants the plane with the most perceived glamor, the one that is most talked about… And this can be very similar to how you choose to get traffic to your website.

I was a very unusual student aviator.  I actually chose the aircraft I went to with an element of what would or should be the best choice for me and building a future career.  When I chose to fly the E-2C Hawkeye, I knew no one else would choose it as their first choice.  And by doing so, I would get my first choice.

I really satisfied my deeply hidden need to be doing exactly what I had chosen.  But this may not had been very rational either… after all, it was still an emotional choice.

Commonly, when you choose your way of getting targeted web traffic, it is done much like the young student aviator.  You want the choice with the most “glamor” attached.  You choose the source that is talked about the most, so you gotta have it too.  After all, if it is so hot that everyone is talking about it, it must be the place to be.

How often have you found that doing what everyone is talking about turns out not to be the place to be?

Go ahead, be honest.  No one is listening but you!  You know that the answer is – very often!  You have been there.  But don’t worry, I won’t tell.

Your website traffic generator is not a random operation of glamor and hype.  It takes real nuts and bolt knowledge, and most likely, the best place for you to start is not with the most advanced, most glamorous strategy.

So, where did I start?

I made a big mistake.  I started trying to get pay per click traffic right off the bat.  Low cost, high return, they said.  Can’t be too difficult.  HA!

I tried it myself after reading a hot book, from a top expert.  Do this, tweak that, monitor this, change that…

I got nothing. Then I hired a pay per click expert.  This was really dumb, because I was really broke.  And what did I get?  The expert only bid on high cost keyword phrases that got clicks, no sales, and emptied my already empty pockets.

So much for the glamor.  I went back to basics, and started all over again.  This time I followed the advise of Napoleon Hill.  I sought out expert knowledge, and followed real examples of real pros that are getting hordes of targeted web traffic.

I began a combination of developing a highly targeted blog, with article marketing, and social marketing.  I was broke, so I needed high return for my effort.  Then I tossed in a podcast as well.  The results were I increased my website traffic statistics by close to 5000% in 30 days.

There was no glamor, just results.  I found Tellman Knudson, and his stellar program, Easy Traffic Steps provided me a menu, with complete explanations that spoon fed me choices that I could make high result decisions from.

So, do yourself a big favor…

Quit chasing around one thing after another.  You need to stop looking for the glamor now.  Imagine what you feel like when you increased your targeted web traffic by 2000, 3000, even 5000% in just 30 days.  Have you had that kind of result yet in 30 days?  (Be honest!)

Stop what your doing, and make a very small investment, with a very high return, and start using a targeted web traffic plan written by an expert.  Do it now, don’t keep waiting, or your web traffic will keep passing you by.

Basic Flight Training and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Your targeted web traffic comes from many sources, but one of the best is search engines.

But search engine optimization is a term that makes most non-technical website owners quake.  It’s a lot like taking your first flight.

I remember well my first flight at Naval Air Station Pensacola.  It was a long time ago, but it was something I almost couldn’t imagine I could really do.  My first flight was in a Navy T-2C Buckeye aircraft.  The whole preparation for getting ready was so unbelievably nerve racking.

It really wasn’t very complicated, but for a first time thing, it was the most complicated, scary thing I could think of for a young guy, just out of college with only an imagination to work from.

It is probably something like you feel about taking on SEO (search engine optimization) as a method of getting targeted web traffic.  SEO looks and feels like a maze of unfamiliar terms to accomplish highly technical things to get a search engine to position your website high in relevance for the targeted web traffic.

Wow, what a complicated sentence!  That’s just the point.  It doesn’t have to be that complicated at all.  And it is also one reason I emphasize using WordPress self hosted blogs.  Because it is the way to make it simple, even for you if you are very non-technical in thinking.

But this isn’t about what kind of website you have to send your targeted web traffic to.  It is about making SEO or search engine optimization something you don’t fear.  In fact, in the following days, you will become very confident that SEO is a targeted web traffic tool you can use with ease.

Wouldn’t you like to be doing a search for your key word phrase and find your blog or website on page one of Google or other search engines?

Come back tomorrow, and I will continue with more on getting started with SEO for targeted web traffic.

How Getting Shot At Increases Targeted Web Traffic and Sales

Today’s post comes from a reader request:

Dan says he is getting lots of visitors but no one buys. He needs a way to promote his site to targeted visitors.

Dan’s site: http://danowin.ilovepets.biz/shop.php

F-18 FormationI don’t claim to be an expert on increasing sales, but one thing that is common to all is the need for targeted web traffic.  If it is not targeted, no one buys.

But there is one other element that is required to get sales from your targeted web traffic.  I will put it to you this way…

On one mission I was on during the war in Kosovo, my job was to be the airborne cooridnator of all elements of the largest Naval air strike ever conducted using the tactics of the day.  It included being responsible for aircraft entering the combat airspace, getting fuel, getting to the target, detecting hostile activity both air, and missile, and getting the fighters and bombers out safely.

Now that is definitely a lot to expect from one guy (plus 4 other crew members).  Why in the world would anyone even allow me to have that much influence on what happens to them individually?

The strike mission itself is highly targeted traffic.  The lead fighter/bomber and his wingman want only two things from their shopping and delivery – hit the target (and live).  Problem is, it is very dangerous — very, very dangerous.  Plus they have many restrictions on how to go shopping.  The most restrictive is that their aircraft had to be fully, 100% mission capable.

Believe me, this requirment is probably not met more often than you think.  So why go shopping in such a dangerous place when it would be so easy to say my thing-a-ma-jig is broke, and just go home and noone will say anything?

Instead, they let me direct them where to go and change things literally “on the fly” without question.  They even convince themselves that the “thing-a-ma-jig” is working fine.

Here is the secret…

… if your current web traffic is targeted, yet it doesn’t buy.  Do you have TRUST!  Do your visitors trust you, and why should they?

In the air strike, I had a long established trust relationship through my proven performance in the air.  Many of the aircraft pilots only knew me by my voice, or my crew by their callsign.  But we had a relationship of unmatched, very powerful trust.  Therefore they would shop where ever I told them to because they knew I would not steer them wrong!

So my question to you, Dan, is….

How are you getting trust with your targeted visitors?  Do you have a blog?  Do you have a newsletter?  What do you give your customers besides little pictures with apparently good prices?

This is why I created the free training series “The Great Traffic Experiment.”

It centers on getting a real, hosted WordPress blog because it is one great way of getting TRUST, plus easily, and almost automatically getting targeted web traffic.  So, if you don’t have a blog, go to The Great Traffic Experiment Now, and find out how to get one up very, very quickly.

Then read the following posts on getting a traffic system:

  2. Can an Aircraft Carrier Plan Bring Targeted Web Traffic?
  3. Carrier Aircraft in Tension – How You Feel About Getting Web Traffic?

This all represents exactly how I went from nothing to a business creating cash.  I am not filthy rich today, but my system comes from the best mentors online, and grows every, single day doing exactly what I write about.  Yours can too.  This is business, you won’t get rich tomorrow, but with a plan, commitment, purseverance, faith and the right tools, you can build trust, and very loyal targeted web traffic that buys.

Thanks for your question, Dan…
