10 Best WordPress Plugins for Blog Traffic and Profits

My Top 10 Favorite WordPress Plugins for Business Blogs

Alright, you know I’m a blogger.  That’s obvious, you’re here.

And I know that creating traffic is something that you want to do as an online business owner, or perspective owner.

You should also know that blogging is a traffic generation method.  I’ve told you this many times over, and TrafficStarterPro, my premier course, is centered on capturing the traffic generation and lead capturing power of a WordPress blog.

WordPress blogging software is the most flexible free, open source website software in the world.  That’s a bold statement, but you can’t find anything proving it wrong.

That being said, it doesn’t mean that the WordPress platform doesn’t have some shortfalls.  In fact, WordPress, without any additional help, really won’t be enough to make it the targeted traffic magnet you desire.

You have to add plugins to the the corps software in order to optimize it’s performance in SEO, monetization, and presentation.

So here’s a list of the top WordPress Plugins I and many top bloggers use to maximize our virtually guaranteed website traffic and profit conversion from our blogs:

Sunday Rantings – Blog Spammers 3 Ways to Stop Them

If you’re a blogger, and you should be if you sell online, then there is one thing that is going to plague you forever…

It’s blog comment spam!

It’s really very annoying, but it’s also a sign you’re succeeding with your blog.  Sounds strange, doesn’t it?  How can spam be a good sign?

I’m not going to answer that yet, because I get to do my ranting first.  You see, I started writing this because two things about blogging annoy me.

Let’s start with the beginning.  I love blogging, and I love writing, and I love that so many people come here to this blog.  As of this writing, there are between 2,000 to 2,200 visitors a day.  I really enjoy knowing that so many people keep coming, as I write new and different things.

I know I don’t write the same things or the same way as anyone else.  I try hard to put a new twist on everything.  It’s a challenge.  All my life is a challenge.  I love a good challenge.

On top of that, just by posting content that people want gets me more and more targeted traffic.  I’ve told you this before.  Many of you ignore me.  Give me the ..pooh.. …pooh… response, but keep coming back anyhow.  That’s great.  I love it, but you really should take action to get ahead.

So this brings me to the first thing that can annoy you or me as a blogger…

More Website Traffic – 5 Simple Ways for Targeted Traffic

buckofcashThere are many ways to get more website traffic to your website.  Some are free, and some are paid.  Some have fast results, and some you have to be persistent for to reap the targeted traffic benefits.

There are many more than this, but here are 5 simple ways to get more targeted web traffic to your blog, and you can put them to work today.

  • Build a list.  This really should go without saying.  If you are in business, online or off, you need a customer list to truly realize your full profit potential.  If you don’t have one, then put an opt-in form on your blog so you can capture names.  Include a valuable offer, and compelling attention grabber to attract your readers.
  • Post your signature.  What? Post my signature?  Yes, that’s right.  Simply find the forums where your niche hangs out, and steal targeted traffic by posting replies to popular discussions.  Don’t forget to create your signature file with a brief ad for your best niche offer.
  • Be a widgeter.  What’s a widgeter?  They are mini applications you can put on your blog where you share advertising with other niche users and consumers.
  • Create your blogroll.  This is the list of favorite blogs where you can exchange links with your friends in your blog or niche networks.  This draws attention to your links and sites from other niche or related blogs.
  • Be really social.  You must get your own accounts at places like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, and the many, many more social websites.  These places really bring more website traffic that is highly targeted, and you are missing out if you haven’t learned to leverage them.

There are many more methods to get targeted visitors to your blog, but these five are among the fastest, easiest, and most profitable to implement.  Put them to work today, and increase your online traffic today.  More targeted visitors means you have more eager buyers.

Turn Your Blog into a List Builder

Using your blogs to build an email list
is very powerful strategy. You have probably
noticed the several signup blocks on my blog.
But are you using your blog to it’s full potential?

Most people just add their opt-in form
at the top of their blog’s sidebar like you
see on this page and never pay attention to
it again – sure  it will catch the odd new
subscriber but…

Why are blogs so effective?

Because it’s easy to get ranked in the
search engines and because you can get
a ton of targeted traffic from all the
new web 2.0 sites. But…

what happens when they get to your blog?

They start reading your post. If you
are lucky they will like it and read more
than one and maybe click on of you links.

But while that is going on they have long
since scrolled past that first opt-in form
and chances are they will never see it
again.  Take a look, can you even see
the one on this page now?

Wouldn’t in be far more effective if your
opt-in form would follow them. Float down
the page with them and be ready to grab
the new subscriber at the instant they
decide that they like your writing?

Of course it would and that’s why John
Merrick and Soren Jordansen created the
Floating Action Button.

technology can do for your blog.
