Throughout September I showed you how to buy the best targeted traffic at the absolute lowest cost.
But now, let’s get a little more advanced in our thinking.
I have shared part of this story in an email, but it bears re-emphasizing, because it is THAT IMPORTANT!
Because of this seemingly small error, I almost lost my whole online presence, and thus, my business! Do this wrong, and you have no reason to buy website traffic, no reason to increase online traffic, no reason for targeted traffic at all…
I was nearly destroyed by a web hosting company!
You see, a little over a year ago, I thought I could get a great solution to having unlimited domains, and full control of my server. I went to a hosting company with my problem, and they talked me into what is known as a virtual server. I am not going to explain that, but you will love what happened…
I had listened partially to my mentors. I had been told I should have unlimited hosting so I can put up as many domains as I can. I didn’t fully understand this, because I was having problems with just two.
But then I got to studying more targeted traffic methods, and I began to see why unlimited domains is really important. So what did I do?…
Well, instead of going to the hosts my various mentors told me to, I went and found my own wonderful resource. I’m smart… how hard can it be to choose a web host?
Things were fine at first. I was technically sharp enough to handle most things. I asked a few simple questions and got some descent answers. But it wasn’t long before I had a more challenging problem, and the tech support didn’t really seem like they wanted to help….
You know how some of these tech supports are… they talk to you like you are a real dumb a** for asking them such a question, and why should they be bothered with it…
To keep a long story semi-short, things got progressively worse. I tried managing my multiple domains and blogs on this great new server, but stuff just kept bogging down. I would ask for assistance, and quite literally be told that it was my problem — take care of it yourself!…
I was flabbergasted! Can you imagine paying a company all this money, and they refuse to help. Isn’t it in your web host’s best interest to do everything reasonably possible to keep you alive and paying them?… Don’t you think?…
Eventually, spammers and hackers got into my email and started sending those emails from Nigeria through my email account. Boy did my host shut me down fast. But what happened when I asked for help?…. I bet you can guess…
“It’s your problem, you take care of it,” they said.
Oh I was steaming made, and feeling completely helpless. I really wanted to quit! Obviously, I didn’t quit…
I took a day, relaxed, and made a new game plan. Then I called a host my mentors recommended. I transferred everything off the lame dogs that just wanted to eat me for dinner, and the new “mentor recommended” host did everything for me! Everything!
So next post, I’ll share with you, my current, absolute favorite host. I’ve been testing a new one for several months, and they have proven to be prime players for me and many of the world’s top marketers.
