How to Increase Blog Traffic

There are many was to increase website traffic – at least 20 different ways. Some you pay for directly, and some you pay for indirectly. Here you’ll learn exactly how to increase your traffic rapidly, and at the lowest cost possible. It is through the use of a blog website.

Maybe you haven’t been following me close enough to know that I consider a WordPress blog the best website for anyone starting a business online with a tight budget. I know – I started with no budget!

There is no other blogging platform with the flexibility to instantly mold to your personal and business needs as quickly and easily as a WordPress blog. Yes, you might find a handful of other blogs in the top rankings, but fact is, WordPress blogs hands down out-perform every other blogging platform!

There is no major league blogger online today that doesn’t tell you the same thing. Check these bloggers out, if you don’t believe me:

Alving Phang – GatherSuccess.com

Darren Rowse – ProBlogger.net

Yaro Starak – Entreprenuers-Journey.com

Pat Marcello – OVBlogger.com

John Chow – JohnChow.com

Well, you get the picture…these are the top bloggers in the world, and they are all on WordPress. The WordPress blog platform software is free. Any hosting company worth a salt gives a pretty much point and click installation for getting your blog online.

Note: Everything I am telling you here about blogging refers to you buying a domain name and getting a hosting company to host your blog. This is not — I REPEAT — not about using free hosted blogs at WordPress.com. You cannot get the same results with free stuff, and you can’t market with free, WordPress hosted blog. OK.

If you have read my free ebook on the best low cost and free traffic resources, you know I (like many others) consider blogging on WordPress a website traffic method. A WordPress blog, if properly setup, will attract traffic without you doing a thing except posting good, highly focused content.

However, if you are like any good, determined business person, you want to do everything possible to increase blog traffic as fast as you can. The good news is, once you have your WordPress blog setup with your host provider, it is very easy to accelerate the increase in blog traffic with free tools.

There are many must have free plug-ins and low cost tools that you can get immediately and make the job of increasing blog traffic nearly automatic. There are even tools to bring you content automatically. I don’t recommend those, because you can’t control the content or the message in your blog, particularly you centerpiece business blog.

So here is step one to increase blog traffic. Buy a domain (using a related keyword or keyword phrase), and get a hosting account. This can all be done for 15 bucks.

When you have done this, you will be serious about increasing blog traffic, and ready to grab this weeks free targeted web traffic tools for August.

Reader Request – How to Get Web Traffic Without Submitting Articles?

Today’s post on getting targeted web traffic is a response to a reader request.

The anonymous reader asked how to get traffic without submitting articles.

If you have been following along in Your Traffic Starter Blog, you know that article marketing is one traffic strategy that is nearly universally used by the best online marketers everywhere.

But because it is the most universal doesn’t mean you have to use it.

As you saw in the previous series, getting a plan together to increase targeted web traffic to your blog or website is key. There are at least 20 different ways to get guaranteed web traffic.

I personally don’t recommend you start with pay per click, unless you are willing to spend a lot of money up front. If done properly, and skillfully, you can and will get highly targeted traffic… But you can’t make them buy instantly.

I have repeatedly recommended starting with a WordPress, self-hosted blog and social traffic. I cover this targeted web traffic method in The Great Traffic Experiment. Sign up and start following the video series. This, obviously, does not require any article marketing.
