To Increase Blog Traffic Requires Action

Throughout the last week, if you’ve been reading this blog, you certainly know that I have introduced you to two top free targeted website traffic tools that you can use to easily increase blog traffic.

I also showed you how I learned to optimize my blog, and introduced you to the short version of my life story.

So what is the real message here, and where does it all tie together to help you create real targeted web traffic?

First, the free tools are just that – tools. They are useless unless you take action!

How I optimized my blog is all about how I took action. Taking real action is what changes everything. Part of the targeted traffic plan is choosing a mentor and putting the lessons into action!

And my life story (the short version) is all about a life of taking action. Granted, it wasn’t always the right action. But part of taking action is accepting failure, treating it as a learning point and taking more assertive action!

Remember, I have said it before, but if you are not about taking action, then maybe you are in the wrong place. Increase Blog Traffic – How I Optimized My Blog

When I first started this very blog, I had no earthly idea what I was doing!

Are you familiar with that perspective? I lived it. If you search back to the very beginning, you will find a hodge podge of articles, and varying content, and really difficult to follow themes.

The good thing for me was, prior to July of 2008, the blog database crashed. I made a smart decision to start over. I had almost no targeted traffic coming to the blog, and it was really frustrating. I didn’t do much better when I restarted in July 2008.

I followed a program for creating successful blogs, and it was miserable. It included using auto-generated content, and various automatic methods of updating, and it simply did not work. I tried various things and mixing the programs of several mentors.

Phhhh… that didn’t work. What a mess!

So in January of 2009, I get dead serious on making this blog very useful. I needed to optimize it from the bottom up. So here’s what I did…

I was already a Gold Member of Tellman Knudson‘s Listuilding Club. Every time I listened to the team of Pat Marcello and Brian Edmundson, something good happened.

Every time I strayed away, nothing good happened. I finally realized this, and started following their plan intensely. Best thing I ever did!

I found inside the Listbuilding Club a complete series on how to optimize my blog for maximum targeted web traffic (please realize there are over 27 different focused series with more than 140 training videos, plus endless audios, and the spotlight calls). I really needed to increase blog traffic dramatically, so I put it to work.

The lessons taught me how to create a proper title, how to do the tag line, how to update blog rolls and add links, how to start backlinks to my blog, and just about everything possible to get it right.

Just like when I was on the spotlight calls, I followed exactly what they said. Within 30 days, I had a 400% increase in my traffic, and my blog started to look and feel like a real professional blog. But I wasn’t where I wanted to be. I was still not quite doing it right…

I had been saving some money I made, and earning some from my online efforts, so I up’d the ante, and in February of 2009, I joined the 411 level of the Listbuilding club. I had two goals, make my blog a traffic machine and build my list.

In 411, I now had the personal assistance of Tellmand Knudson and his entire staff. Kyle Battis, Pat Marcello, Mike Purvis, Josh Burns, Jodi, and I think that is all… Anyhow, they took me on, and optimized the look, feel and focus, and within 30 more days, I had increased blog traffic by 2500% from where I was in January.

Now, after continuing to improve and optimize with their help, I get — your not going to believe this (I don’t want to even post it because you will think it’s impossible) — 20,000% more traffic (that’s 200 times more) than I did in January 2009.

So I mastered the traffic techniques they gave me, and followed every detail they told me to do to my blog look, feel, and internal structure. I now get tons of targeted website traffic to my blog, and love sharing everything I can with you.

Optimizing my blog to increase blog traffic was a real adventure. I did things the hard way much too long, and when I did it the easy way, the pay off was gigantic.

Generating Web Traffic Using Only Free Methods – Method 4

There is so much to do, and so little time. That is the way I felt in the Navy as I was preparing for every lesson, getting ready for every mission, or heading out into combat.

How did I deal with it? Delegate tasks to others – outsource.

As you go through the tons of ways of generating traffic, you can’t do all of these, all of the time, every day. There is not enough time in the day. So don’t get overwhelmed, just pick one and get good at it. Then outsource it and learn another.

That said, here is today’s method to increase blog traffic or generate website traffic for free. You may want to use this if your are really strapped for cash, but are determined as Danny and I are to succeed.

Write articles full of content.

Article marketing, as I have mentioned previously, has a number of very significant benefits. Here is a list of the amazing payback you get from a properly executed article marketing campaign:

1. You can do it for free
2. You get established as and expert in your niche
3. You get tons of targeted back links
4. You get published in other experts newsletters and blogs.
5. You get targeted free traffic for life
6. You will improve your search engine rankings.

Once you have written your articles, you must distribute them over the internet. You do this through article directories. There are literally thousands of these, and you can find them with a search in Google of the term “articles directory.”

The great thing is, that even if you just can’t stand the thought of writing anything, you can get this done for you at a very low cost. But the fact is, you can do this. You should do this. You must do this if you plan to have a successful plan to increase blog traffic and bring targeted traffic to your website.

I hope everyone had a great Father’s Day. Now it’s time to get back to creating more targeted traffic and increase your blog traffic….

As promised, here is another method of generating free web traffic. The third method is back links…

Start building back links to your website

This can be done without spending a cent! You don’t even have to buy a tool. Back links are vital to your site being recognized by the search engines such as Google, MSN, and Yahoo.

But first, let me warn you: many so called “experts” will tell you to do link exchanges. READ MY LIPS – Don’t Waste Your Time.

Did you get that? Alright, let’s continue. One-way back links can be built without ever having to ask anyone’s permission. Plus – they are far more valuable than any link exchange. By doing this, you will also see how having a WordPress blog is so very, very valuable for back link building.

Back Link Method one:

Leave comments on other blogs related to your niche product or blog. Why do this? The simple answer, it works, and it’s easy and it’s free.

When you write a comment, make sure you mention the post and something in the post to comment specifically about. Use your primary keywords when you comment.

Make sure your comment makes sense. When you leave a comment, you will have to leave your name, your email, and your WEBSITE ADDRESS!

Exactly what you want. This creates a link that points back to your blog or website. And guess what! It has the added benefit of readers viewing your valuable comment, and then clicking your link and coming to your website or blog.

And if you did what I told you, then you also got a WordPress blog. Why? Because there are great tools available to get each and every post you make sent to multiple social bookmarking sites – without you ever having to visit the sites! This does require a very small investment, but one that will save you so much time and create so many back links, and so much traffic, and increase your search engine traffic…. Are you getting the picture?
