What Else is Search Engine Optimization? The Secret to Search Engine Traffic

We’ve talked about SEO and search engine traffic before. But like when I was in the Navy, we emphasized repetition of skills and basics to make advanced tactics work the impression of ease. This is a long post, but I didn’t want to break it up. I am going to violate “the rules” and overwhelm you with content. So let’s get started with a closer look…

Search Engine Optimization or SEO is a term widely used by anyone trying to make money online and build a real online profit machine. All of you know that search engines are the most common place for people to go to find the online information they want so bad. And if you are on the first page of the results, you are front page news to the searcher.

It’s not a secret that most people rely on the top ten results (the first page) of the search they just requested. If your site comes up on a desired search in the top ten, then WHAMO you get FREE targeted web traffic straight from the search engine. You didn’t pay a dime!

So I will state the obvious in case it didn’t sink in: You and your website or blog have a bazillion times higher chance of being clicked if you appear on the first page of the search engine results. And this traffic is COMPLETELY targeted for you – if you did your SEO correctly.

Are you still following me? Now this is a fact, once you are there (on the first page results) you must hold on to your ranking. You cannot, and will not stay on top if you don’t keep your website up-to-date and optimized.

What people search for changes over time, and how search engines search also changes. Plus, new players constantly enter you niche! It is imperative to make your site better and better everyday.

Are you still questioning whether you need to use search engine optimization? Well, I’ll give you my bottom line: You need Search Engine Optimization if you want to maximize profit and keep your costs low. Ignore it and you’ll pay through the teeth. It’s that simple. It’s your choice.

With a solid search engine optimization effort, you get the benefit of “magically” attracting high volume targeted traffic. Using the best choice of keywords and keyword phrases you can get hundreds of visitors a day to your blog or website.

If you only convert 1 or 2 percent of these free, highly targeted visitors, you will still be making a profit – remember, you didn’t pay for these buyers. They found you because you did your SEO basics correctly – up front, not as an afterthought.

So what else is SEO? It’s using the right methods, and employing the right tools to keep your blog or website on the first page of the search engines. Now here is another fact: it is neither impossible nor highly difficult. Just get the right knowledge and tools.

In an earlier post, I showed you a method for finding keywords that can get you lots of traffic and put you on the first page of Google in record time – even in the most competitive niches. It’s back in the section about creating content. I hope you paid attention. If not, go back and re-read it.

Getting there and then in the top half, and then staying in the top half guarantees targeted viewers become targeted traffic in high numbers.

If your content is good, they become very loyal and very much, paying followers.

As you start learning your necessary – even mandatory – search engine optimization skills, there is one way I know to start your blog site on automatic. If you are building a blog – and you should be (remember the this post?) then you must get this plug in now. No excuses, it’s free and it works…

For the fruits of your efforts to “search engine optimize” you have to learn the basics and then maintain an ongoing effort. Your site has to change as public focus changes and as the search engine mechanics change. Your keyword phrases must be updated and your content must be refreshed.

Periodically rewriting your site content with the updated keywords and adjustments for change in search engine activity will be a big part of your site getting to the top and staying there. The rules will change and so must your blog or website if the targeted free traffic is to keep coming.

So lend me your ear, and take note of this fact: you don’t have to be a technical expert, or computer whiz to learn enough SEO to keep your blog and target for tons of web traffic. Remember also what I told you earlier about building one-way links to your site. This link building is part of your SEO efforts as well. I won’t explain it here, that is not what this is about. I just mention it again, to remind you that there is a lot more to SEO than just a few keywords.

Generating Web Traffic Using Only Free Methods – Method 4

There is so much to do, and so little time. That is the way I felt in the Navy as I was preparing for every lesson, getting ready for every mission, or heading out into combat.

How did I deal with it? Delegate tasks to others – outsource.

As you go through the tons of ways of generating traffic, you can’t do all of these, all of the time, every day. There is not enough time in the day. So don’t get overwhelmed, just pick one and get good at it. Then outsource it and learn another.

That said, here is today’s method to increase blog traffic or generate website traffic for free. You may want to use this if your are really strapped for cash, but are determined as Danny and I are to succeed.

Write articles full of content.

Article marketing, as I have mentioned previously, has a number of very significant benefits. Here is a list of the amazing payback you get from a properly executed article marketing campaign:

1. You can do it for free
2. You get established as and expert in your niche
3. You get tons of targeted back links
4. You get published in other experts newsletters and blogs.
5. You get targeted free traffic for life
6. You will improve your search engine rankings.

Once you have written your articles, you must distribute them over the internet. You do this through article directories. There are literally thousands of these, and you can find them with a search in Google of the term “articles directory.”

The great thing is, that even if you just can’t stand the thought of writing anything, you can get this done for you at a very low cost. But the fact is, you can do this. You should do this. You must do this if you plan to have a successful plan to increase blog traffic and bring targeted traffic to your website.

The number one reason to use article marketing as a traffic tactic – just look who is doing this. Here is a simple test. In your niche, do you know someone that is highly successful on the internet? Now go to
any major article directly like ezinearticles.com and look them up. I bet you find them.

Search Engine Traffic and More Google Changes

Hello, and welcome back. I usually don’t do much on Saturday’s. For me, Saturday is much like it was in the Navy – a day of moderation whenever possible.

But I wanted to update you on some search engine traffic features of Google, in case you are like me – and hadn’t noticed these things.

Success, Failure, Death – Which Path for Your Targeted Web Traffic

Let’s take a short turn from the 20 or so targeted web traffic resources…

I know many people get to a point, and do so very quickly, where they simply don’t believe they can do something or anything. For instance – create a successful online business because they can’t get or increase targeted web traffic to their website.

So let me share with you just one story (I know there are many worse than this):

You see, after 22 years of great success as a Naval officer, my career abruptly ended. I was lost. I had served in virtually every combat or near-combat situation for the US since1983. My career started with an emergency sailing to the Caribbean for the Grenada crisis as a young officer in the Air Wing on board the USS America. The Grenada crisis was over by the time I got there. But it was the mark of what my life would be like for the next 20 years. I spent twice as much time deployed as the average officer, and always was planning and executing a major crisis or combat right up to delivering special forces to Afghanistan in October 2001, the wake of 9/11.

I allowed the endless cycle of 12 -18 hour days control me, and ultimately my failure led to a massive depression. My life came to a screeching halt 7 years ago. The Navy wouldn’t help me, my family pretends I don’t exist, my wife left. I ended up with no home, no money, no nothing. I had a choice:

1. I could now let the massive, and overwhelming feelings of distraught and hopelessness control me…

2. I could salvage the one thing that I controlled and no one else could – my will to succeed.

I chose #2 – master my will. I was so depressed, and so low, that I could not sleep, had heartburn every day and night, and lost over 40 lbs. You see, I am 6’2″ tall. I normally weigh 195 to 205 lbs. I dropped to 160 lbs. I was dying and didn’t even know it.

After 3 years, and massive self-mind control effort, I reversed the depression. Now it was time to create success for everyone I possibly could. After surviving what I had, I knew I could find a way to success from absolutely nothing. I met my business partner, Daniel Gonzalez – a hero of New York who rescued many in the 9-11 TERRORIST attacks (and has had hip replacements as a result). He also had similar circumstances from a civilian career of public service and survived cancer. Two highly unlikely people, who would be chosen as the proms most likely to fail, set off to succeed in a big way.

So in the big picture, getting massive targeted web traffic has been a big stumbling block in really making my business roll. But in the even bigger picture, it is nothing – just something I had to learn how to do better. I can do it, so can you.

You likely feel very frustrated trying to make things work. But a daily routine of positive self-talk can help you maintain your will to overcome the small, small obstacle of getting targeted web traffic to your site. You can do it, stick with me.

Flight Experts, The Chosen Ones – What About Your Targeted Web Traffic?

Getting targeted web traffic is not something you just know how to do. It’s just like flying:

The day you walk in the classroom, you most likely had zero clue as to what to do, or even what the first step is to get you airborne.

You would never think of trying to fly (particularly in combat from an aircraft carrier) without finding out the best flightdeckcrash process for doing it and then finding the best people to teach you how. After all, flying itself is inherently dangerous. Add in flying in combat and landing on an aircraft carrier, and you will definitely crash and burn if you don’t learn from the best!

The risks are similar for setting up your online business. There is great financial risk involved (you know that I will never tell you that you can have a business for free – it isn’t going to happen!). You will have to spend time and money to get your business to work, and to get hordes of targeted web traffic coming to your site. You don’t want your online business to crash and burn (and believe me, most do)!

In the Navy, I had a luxury – a team of experts selected the experts to teach me. I didn’t have to find them. I was virtually guaranteed to be taught by real, proven pros. No time wasted with trial and error, no time wasted trying strategies and techniques that simply won’t work.

In building your online business, you should have the same luxury. Every minute you spend chasing traffic, and getting no results is time wasted with no financial return!

Getting targeted web traffic isn’t massively difficult, but there are at least 20 proven strategies used by the experts and money making online businesses. Here are just a few:

Blog Traffic
Social Traffic
and many more…

The problem is, even though I just identified 4 of the 20 major ways to get traffic, you still have to find out how to do the strategy you select. AND you still don’t have enough knowledge to know which is the right one for you. You don’t have a group of highly motivated, government paid experts to guarantee your placement in the right training like young Navy pilots.
