I tried some of the methods and track their effectiveness according to the conversion rate and I quickly identified 6 of them

1) Article Marketing: This is by far my most recommended method of list building especially to the new marketers because it is free and proven to be very effective for me. All you have to do is to commit to writing at least 2 articles a day and submit them to the top 10 directories and I promise you that you will see some results in your list. Consistently do it for a year and you will build yourself a massive list, more importantly highly targeted list.

2) Forum Marketing: Whenever you want to sell some services or products, you need to find out where your target customers are. One of the best place to locate them is through forum. It is the place where like minded people gather and discuss on topic they are interested in. All you have to do is to provide useful information and slowly build credibility among them, you will them see stream of visitors coming through your signature links on every post you make. These people are also a group of highly targeted list.

3) Banner Ads: I heard some people telling me that banner ads are out already but I personally think it is not. If you go to some blog or website of some successful marketers, you will see banners here and there, why are they doing it? Because it makes them money. Period. All you need is to search for some website with highly targeted traffic of your niche and pay them money to post your banner ads on them. You will see your list grow tremendously.

4) Blogging: This is also one of the best list building method I use beside article marketing. Blogging can be a good mean for you to community with other like minded people and at the same time build relationship with them. As long as you continuously provide your blog with good content, you will build a list of loyal readers.

5) Ezine: If you are looking for targeted prospect, you must look for someone with a list of subscribers interested in your niche. Once you identify them, you can then do solo ads with the ezine publishers and they will send your ads to their list for a small fee.

6) PPC: This is by far the quickest way to build a list but it has to be done properly with some knowledge in order to be effective. Do not rush into this method if you are totally new to PPC. Spend some time reading on this topic before you go into it. One good book you can get is Chris carpenter “Google Cash”.
