You’ve heard it before, but there really is tons of targeted traffic waiting for you to grab it straight from a Squidoo Lens.

So here it is, the step-by-step method to start getting targeted traffic from Squidoo.  Anyone can do this, and it works amazingly well.  It should be part of your targeted traffic program.

Step 1: Naturally, you pick a topic.

This should be easy.  If you have defined your niche well, you will quickly have an interesting and relevant topic to write about.

Step 2: Go to Google Adword External Keyword tool

You can also choose your favorite keyword tool, and find the keywords relevant to your topic.  It should be something your already focus on in your primary niche website.  These should be fairly non-competitive keywords from your niche.

Step 3: Start Your Squidoo Lens!

Just go to Squidoo and sign up.  Then start your lens.  Use your chosen keyword in the topic and start writing.  Just click the “Create a Lens” button!

Step 4: Picking Your Best Targeted Traffic Title

You’ll be asked what’s your lens about, and put in one of your primary keyword phrases.  Then click go to step 2 and select “do your own thing.”  Click on go to step 3 where you enter a title – with your primary keyword phrase in the title.  You also enter you chosen url which must be (for your targeted traffic purposes), something containing your keyword or keyword phrase.  Select the appropriate category and rating, then you go to step 4.

Step 5: Targeted Web Traffic Keyword

Here in step 4 of building your lens, you ad up to 4 keywords.  Make them your best keywords that you found when your did your keyword research.  Enter the captcha, and click “Done.”  Your not really done, just finished doing the setup.

Step 6: Create your Niche Content

Now you simply add your content.  Take a look at the modules others have used, and get an idea of how to set them up.  There are easily more than 100 module you can use.  Your first module, should be a text module with an image.  Your content should be relevant, and focused on your primary keyword you used with your url and title.  Include links back to your niche website using the keyword as anchor text.  When you finished editing, click publish.

Step 7: Promote Your Lens

The easy way to do this is to include your lens in your backlinking program and post it to as many social bookmark and social network sites as possible.  Then do it all again!

Once you get the hang of it, making an Squidoo Lens is easy, and you will want many liking back to your site to build your credibility and your targeted traffic.
