You likely know that backlinks to your website or blog are very important to you and your search engine optimization and rankings. However, the world of backlinking may be seen with a completely different view as social sites like Twitter, Buzz and others could be taking their place.
This is really bad, for the moment.
You see, back linking used to be the way people told their friends, their co-workers, their customers, etc. about the things they think are relevant, and marvelous and that everyone else should see. There was a time when creating link bait to your website could be viral, and shoot you up in the search engine results overnight.
This may not be the case anymore. Think about it for a second. What is the primary way people tell their friends and co-workers about things?
Do you know the answer?

Your blog can interact with Twitter automatically. Take a look in the plugins toolbar on your blog dashboard. Click ‘Add New’ and search for plugins with keyword ‘twitter’ and see just how many there are.
