You have likely heard a lot about getting targeted traffic from web video. They call it viral video marketing.
There are so many gurus that tell you that you will be a major success and have tons and tons of traffic from posting web videos on sights like YouTube, Viddler, Google Videos and such.
And of course, you can.
But let me ask you this – What do you think are the chances your video will go viral and send you tons of traffic tomorrow?
I don’t really know the chances, but I think it’s small. What do you think?
You know that I use video to get my message out on this blog, and to provide instruction for readers. But I don’t focus on trying to create viral videos. If you go to my YouTube channel, you won’t see a bunch of videos there with tons of views. Most of my video views occur on my blog – right here.
Yesterdays video on getting blog traffic from web video is just a starter. I hope you took the time to view it. I have taken notes from that video and already updated my Youtube channel. You will see in my next video coming this week on free web video tools, that I will use the rest of the techniques mentioned.
I will also show you this week methods that are proven to create targeted traffic to your web videos and ultimately will bring traffic to your web page or blog.

So here’s the rhetorical question of the day: Do you want to tons of free traffic running to your website?
Of course the answer is YES! In fact, who in their right mind would say anything but yes?
Using a tell-a-friend script is one of the simplest, fastest and most successful ways of incorporating viral marketing into your website. It is very simple programming that can be attached to any website. The scripts usually are installed in pages with media or where a sale was completed so the viewer or purchaser can share it with a friend or family, or whomever they choose.
A well scripted tell-a-friend will integrate seamlessly into your website. It will complement every other source of traffic you have developed. The best part is, the more traffic you send to it from other sources, the more traffic it brings in return. It can literally cause a traffic explosion.
How does a tell-a-friend script work?
I’ll avoid being technical here. A script is just a word for a small program to perform a simple task. A tell-a-friend script is a small program you install on your web host server that allows visitors to your site to tell their friends about you. The best ones work very simply and install very easily for maximum results.
Then you enter a very simple code on your web page in the spot where you want the tell-a-friend script to do its magic. When a your targeted visitor opens the page – let’s say it’s the thank you page after a sale – and they see on the page a box to enter their name and email, their friends name and email, a short message and a send button.
A good script is customizable and often let’s you choose whether to allow visitors to change the title and body of the email to be sent. It will always display the email to be sent, even if you don’t allow it to be customized. Let’s face it, who in their right mind would allow an email to be sent if they don’t know what’s in the email? Dah!
So what happens? Your visitor comes to your site. In this case, they buy something, and to complete the sale they are so emotionally happy about, they then send the good news to their friends.
Some numbers of their friends return to check it out, and someone purchases and repeats the cycle. This is a targeted prospect that you did not pay for, and they paid you, then they advertised for you.
A tell-a-friend script makes it easy for this cycle to repeat itself endlessly! Now your word-of-mouth marketing is being done automatically and done with incredible conversion ratios.
Now remember, this is just an example, you can use this on any type of page you want to get free visitors to. It doesn’t have to be a sales page.
Tell-A-Friend Script Availability
There are tons of tell-a-friend scripts available. Many have some very extravagant programming and fancy bells and whistles.
However, if you are new to dealing with scripts and want this to work as simply as possible, then this completely free script is all that you need. It does everything required for success, and has complete video instructions for its installation and use.
It does require you have a hosted website, and that the host allows scripts to be installed. If that’s the case for you (and it should be if you are a serious marketer) then this script is for you – And it’s FREE! No tricks, this is the no trick zone.

Welcome back, glad you’re here. Let’s pick right up where we left off. Blog traffic and targeted traffic to any website is easy once you start learning the basic steps. So here are steps 3 and 4 of of the 7 steps to increase your blog traffic and targeted web traffic.
Viral marketing allows you to spread the word about your company and product by having others spread the word for you without any costs or if ever low costs only. This is a marketing method that some say is sneaky; you can attach your company’s name, product or link to a certain media such as a funny video, entertaining game, an interesting article or a gossip or buzz. In marketing, this is done by giving away short quality reports and short ebooks as well. By using viral methods, people get infected with the value, creativity and entertainment of the medium and willingly pass it on to others.
Viral methods are not intended to be an instant solution to all your targeted traffic requirements, but if you hit the right viral market with the right product, it can magnify your blog traffic and targeted traffic rapidly. We will cover this in detail in a later section (post).
4) Search and use proper keywords or keyword phrases for your sites
content.
Search Engines look for certain keywords that to “decide” what to show in their results. Knowing this, you need to take advantage of finding good keywords and keyword phrases for your niche.
Then you must focus on using the right keyword and keyword phrase to start generating highly targeted search engine traffic and raising your website ranking in the search engine results.
Your content, however you get it, must be focused on the right keywords that people really use, and it MUST BE RELEVANT! You can’t fake out real readers with garbage!
