Can You Really Increase Targeted Website Traffic Fast?

Yes you can and no you can’t.

What kind of answer is that?

It’s one of those things that has to do with perspective.  What’s your perspective?  How did you get it?

There is no doubt in my mind that your perspective and mine comes from who we choose to listen to and who we choose to follow.  Choose somebody who tells you that you can’t do anything, then you won’t.  Choose someone that has a proven record of success in your field that tells you that you can, and you will.

What’s the proof?

Let me relay to you a personal story.  It is the story of why I succeeded in the Navy.  It is about mentorship.

You see, there is nothing easy about success in the military.  In fact, the odds are completely against you.  Most believe that only the well connected, biggest k_ _ s a _ _ individuals can succeed.  So many go down that path.

However, real mentorship is the key.  A positive influence early in my career is what got me to my goal of commanding a Hawkeye squadron.  When I was in my first tour of sea duty in VAW-123 out of Norfolk, VA, my first commanding officer made it a point to tell me that I was going to be a commanding officer.

We were on our first deployment.  That deployment had been very long – something like 212 days, and we spent something like 180 of the days underway.  Port visits were few and very far between!

It was hard.  But I saw opportunity there.  Every chance I had to climb in an aircraft and fly a mission I did.  I racked up a hefty total of flight hours for my first deployment.  Throughout that deployment, my first C.O. – Skipper Ray Bunton – never really told me anything.  I guess he wanted to see just how far I could climb on my own.

On the way home from the deployment, we stopped at Sigonella, Italy.  The Navy flies out of there and stations aircraft there.  The first night in, we all had kind of a wild night in the Officer’s Club -  I think they called it the ‘Fly Trap’.  There are massive quantities of flies in the summer and fall months at Sigonella.

I was there in the bar with Skipper Bunton, and he had tilted a few drinks, as had I.  We all did our hooping and hollering – bragging about how great we performed, and talking of how great it will be to get home in about a week’s time.

Skipper Bunton was ready to leave and he came over to me.  He had on his leather flight jacket.  As he approached, he removed his jacket and handed it to me.  He said, “Wayne, hold my jacket.  You need to hold this for me, because one day you WILL be a squadron C.O.  There is no doubt in my mind.”

Now those simple words, to someone struggling hard to succeed, were the most influential words of my entire Naval career, bar none!  His early confidence in me made it possible for me to overcome every obstacle tossed at me.

Believe me, there were many!  There were individuals that went out of their way to try to cut me off.  There were small groups of officers that tried to isolate me.  They tried taking claim for my accomplishments and even tried to convince senior officers that I had nothing to do with their claimed success.

But I always hung on the words of Skipper Bunton, and my performance always blasted through the lies and deceit.  Not a single one of my peers that tried to cut me down ever made command.  And I didn’t have to do a thing.  They always fell on their own sword.

So you see, success is dependent, as Napoleon Hill says, on mentorship.  Having the right mentor, in the right place, at the right time makes all the difference in the world.

Getting a major increase in targeted website traffic fast is step one of getting your online business moving fast.  Building a customer list depends on it.  Making profits depends on it.  Without targeted web traffic, you have nothing but a web page that no one sees, no one buys.

How fast you increase targeted website traffic totally depends on your mentor.  If you have no experience, and you do like I did when I started online (hunt and peck, and through away money for bad resources), then you will not get targeted traffic fast.

Keep going at it this way, and internet traffic will never find you.  Search engine traffic will go everywhere else but your website or blog.  Your blog traffic will be stagnant.
