5 Traffic Generators that Beat the Search Engines to Death

You’ve been getting a lot inside information from me on how to get targeted traffic by improving relatively simple SEO techniques. You seen a good number over the past month…

Most are things you can do with little or no technical expertise. You also can have your webmaster ensure that they are being used on your existing website (if you have someone else handling your day to day web tasks).

So let’s go a slightly different direction today. Maybe you know these things, maybe you don’t. Regardless, the bottom line is you shouldn’t be betting the farm on search engines if you are trying to create significant profit through your online business.

Of course, free targeted traffic from search engines is great. You definitely want it…

However, chances are, you aren’t or can’t generate enough traffic to sustain your sales using only search engine traffic (unless you are a StomperNet genius!). You need to be using other methods that don’t rely on search engine traffic alone to multiply your conversions.

Just Plain Stupid Rantings

I’ve been told more than once that I use the word “stupid” much too often.

It’s true. When I see something stupid, I call it “stupid” without hesitation. That’s pretty much the way I am about everything. I call a rock a rock, a good a idea a “good idea”, and stupid – well, I call it “stupid.”

I do get frustrated when people repeatedly do the same stupid things. No doubt about that. At the point where a person keeps doing the same dumb thing over and over, I do have start believing they aren’t just stupid, but they are really clueless.

So if you are ready to get all steamed up at me, continue on, and don’t hesitate to leave your comments before you go.

What Really is Stupid

To me, stupid isn’t about intelligence. The fact is, I do stupid things, and very smart people do very stupid things. I try to avoid stupid things when building my business, as I do when just simply living my life. But I’m not perfect, so I accept that I will do some stupid things (just not as many dumb moves as many others).

Stupid isn’t about education. Very educated people do very stupid things. Problem is, we let them get away with it because we will actually believe that it can’t be stupid if this very educated person says to do it. Am I wrong?

Of course, there are those of you that will say I’m wrong, because you live in an imaginary world where you will believe stupid things just because “an expert” told you. Sorry — like I said, I will call a slug a “slug” without hesitation.

I’ve reviewed this program previously. At the time, I had not quite finished the course… and as it turned out, the course was closed to new sign ups.

So who is Yaro Starak? What kind of name is Yaro anyhow?

Get Traffic to Your Site with Free Software

One of the absolute simplest ways to get traffic to your site is to use completely free software. You may already be using it. If not, it’s time you start.

By using this software, you literally start more targeted traffic to your site simply by using it. No emails, no adwords, no classified ads…. just use it on your website.

What is it?

You’re looking at it. A Wordpress Blog. Host a Wordpress blog on your site, and use it by posting information about your niche. Wordpress software is completely free, and is available for one touch install on any cPanel hosted site. It can be manually installed on other sites for free.

Don Crowther of StomperNet did a close review of the types of articles that attract the most traffic. Here’s what he found…

Write on controversial subjects. Give your opinion, especially if it’s different than the main stream gurus in your niche. Don says this works best if you know that people really think something else, but nobody is willing to say it. Hit on one of these topics, and you will get swarmed.
Blog consistently. Daily blogging brings the most traffic. Some top bloggers post several times a day. The more the merrier.
Being clever. This is a little more abstract. But if you can hit on a unique or entertaining way to post on a subject, you will like bring many more inbound links to your post.
Be the most connected in your niche. Read the most popular blogs of your business field, and write about them. Comment in your blog posts about them, and mention them by name. If you disagree, say so, and why. Not only will you get more traffic, but the people you comment on will notice you, too.
