Top Search Engine Ranking Fast for $9.97

Don’t you love it when you run into ads and traffic products that make such claims.

What I really love, is they will always have a testimonial that tells you how they got that top ranking in some absurd time like 4 hrs or less… and they’ll prove it.

I used to fall for those ads – way back when I was desperate to get any web traffic at all to my website.  The need to succeed, and the unwillingness to accept that claims like the one above rarely happen, and when they do, they are isolated cases that never represent the norm.

I started writing this because, just this morning, another ad come to my inbox with such a claim.  This “targeted traffic miracle” said it could have you at the top of the rankings in 4-hrs.  Then it said it was selling for $9.97!

Wouldn’t it be nice if this could really happen on a regular basis with any website you put up – and be done with free traffic?  Of course it would…

… but let’s deal with reality — It doesn’t…

Here’s why…

5 Traffic Generators that Beat the Search Engines to Death

You’ve been getting a lot inside information from me on how to get targeted traffic by improving relatively simple SEO techniques.  You seen a good number over the past month…

Most are things you can do with little or no technical expertise.  You also can have your webmaster ensure that they are being used on your existing website (if you have someone else handling your day to day web tasks).

So let’s go a slightly different direction today.  Maybe you know these things, maybe you don’t.  Regardless, the bottom line is you shouldn’t be betting the farm on search engines if you are trying to create significant profit through your online business.

Of course, free targeted traffic from search engines is great.  You definitely want it…

However, chances are, you aren’t or can’t generate enough traffic to sustain your sales using only search engine traffic (unless you are a StomperNet genius!).  You need to be using other methods that don’t rely on search engine traffic alone to multiply your conversions.

Let’s get started.  Which of these methods are you using, and which work the best for you?  Take a look…

There I was, just searching around for the most interesting news and topics on search engine traffic, SEO and targeted traffic in general.  There is so much good “stuff” that my brain was going off in every direction thinking how great to write about this.  No, I should write about that…

I was getting a headache.

So I put together a collection of some great SEO info straight from Google and Matt Cutts.  Who is Matt Cutts?  He’s a Google software engineer that leads the webspam team.  Cutts frequently blogs about inside scoops on SEO and how Google sees it.

Here are 5 (plus 1) hot inside SEO scoops – not forum spam, not blog comments, but straight from Google’s expert.  Check them out here…

The Death of Traditional Keyword Research

Do you perform your keyword research in the classic way?  Do you keep trying to rank for high volume keywords even though you are the new kid on the block?

Since the real goal of your website is to create conversions to make sales, not to be the highest listing on a high volume keyword that may or may not make sales – then maybe you need to pay attention here.

One of the biggest mistakes that new online entrepreneurs and established business makes is trying to achieve a high search engine ranking for a high volume keyword, even though there are long established internet real estate owners planted in the top positions.

You may have made this mistake yourself, I know I did… trying to rank for a word or phrase where the true intent of the person searching doesn’t really match the true intent of your business site:

  1. Create Leads
  2. Create Sales

So let’s get to the root of the problem.  First, does the method you use to do keyword research go anything like this…

Google Steals Your Analytics for Rankings or

I’ve heard many things about Google Analytics as I browse the web looking for the truth on SEO and search engine traffic.

There are people everywhere telling you just about anything to get your attention.

Some say,”Don’t put Google Analytics on your website, they steal the data for their rankings!”

But is it true?

Of course they can if they wanted. But that was never a concern for me. I use analytics sometimes, and sometimes I don’t. It depends on the level of effort I’m putting into a website.

I much prefer the tools provided in my cPanel. Why?

Well, the one thing I believe is that Google never tells you everything. They are sneaky like that. The tools in my cPanel read the data straight from my domain on my server without any scripting by a third party.

So I trust that more than a script made by Google. I don’t consider Google analytics a necessity.  Not even close.  But I do use it, because it’s free, and it helps more correlate traffic analysis in with a slightly different twist.

I have found the results vary dramatically at times from what I see straight off my server.  Thus I don’t consider my thoughts about reliability of Google Analytics data unfounded.

But do they cheat and steal your analytics to do search engine Ranking?  The answer is right here…
